White Sox 1993 [PIC]

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

I saw this in a guy’s office, I hope he didn’t mind me snapping a picture. It’s not the greatest quality it was from my camera phone.

It’s the 1993 American League Western Division Champions, I remember watching them play when I was little. I’m trying to remember who are on these baseball cards. So far I got Ozzie Guillen, Frank Thomas, Tim Raines, Carlton Fisk, Bo Jackson, Robin Ventura and Jack McDowell. That’s all I got so far, my Dad might recognize some more. Here’s the complete 1993 Roster

It’s time for the Bears to bench Grossman

This is a rough article…Chicago Bears Rex Grossman

It pains us to concede this but, alas, it is time for the Bears to seek an alternative to Rex Grossman. And not just for a game or two to allow the maligned Bears quarterback a chance to collect himself. Nope, it’s simply time to initiate the end of a short-lived era. Or, as one clever headline writer for a Chicago newspaper suggested, to “end an error.”

OUCH! I like Rex but…well, it looks like we are going to find out what happens on Wednesday. Read the full article here.

Friday off

Saturday, April 7th, 2007

As you probably know the Sox game was canceled yesterday, so we didn’t have to brave the cold. Since we had the night off and it was Good Friday we went with Terri’s family to Illinois Bar & Grill On Taylor. Terri’s father, uncle and aunt have made it a tradition to go there Friday nights during Lent. Since they can’t eat meat they wait till midnight to order. The reason they go to this place is because of their burgers, if you order the “Chicago Burger” you get a beef patty that’s somewhere between 3/4lb. to a full pound! Come hungry, but if you are not you could get the “Baby Burger” which is a mere 1/3lb of meat.

We brought home a winner!

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

We went to the White Sox game today and it was their first win of the season. Mark Buehrle was hit by a line drive in the 2nd inning but he plans to be ready for his next start. It was a pretty cold day today but not to bad in our seats. The sun was out and it was not to windy. Tomorrow’s game is a night game so I am going to bundle up.

White Sox vs. The Cleveland Indians

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

I’m going to the White Sox game tomorrow. This will be the first one of the season for me. I will be going with my Dad, Mom and sister, lets see if we could bring in a winner! They lost the first two games of the season but it’s not a big deal, I think they are going to do alright this year. Their ace, Mark Buehrle will be pitching and I can’t wait to see what happens. We’ll be sitting in left field (sec 159) right by the Sox bullpen. We are in row 22 and my Uncle Russ and Aunt Sue will be in row 4 of the same section! Let’s hope they hit some homeruns over there.

It’s going to be a cold day at The Cell, the weather forcast says it will be in the 30’s which is definaitly not baseball weather. I’m going to dress like it’s a Bears game. I hope a win will warm us up.

For anyone that does not have access to a TV for the game check out for fairly close to realtime updates of the game. I used that website and liked it for fantasy football this past year, and also all my football pools. I liked all the information that they gave during the games. Check it out, it’s pretty cool.
