White Sox Game vs. Tigers

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Terri and I took her nephew’s to the White Sox game. They lost so it was lame, but we did get to see Ken Griffey Jr. I had two tickets on the 1st base line row 19. They were pretty close to Griffey. Since we had the boys and didn’t plan in advance we didn’t have four seats together so when people came we just kept moving up a row. Pretty soon we were in the 12th row or somewhere around there. I got some good pics and then we decided to walk around a bit. My uncle Jerry was there so we talked to him for awhile. Then we went to the top row and sat in the nose bleeds. Well, here are some pictures.

Elk Grove High School Baseball

Friday, July 25th, 2008

Elk Grove H.S. Varsity Baseball was part of the final four! They played this morning and the winner was going down state for the championship. Here is a picture from the Sun Times of my cousin, Justin Kaczynski. He’s getting tagged out here :( but they won that game.

I just heard that they lost this morning. Oh well, good job EG for getting this far!

Sports Website

Friday, April 25th, 2008

I started a sports website almost a month ago. Things are going good with it. I just wanted to put a little banner on the front page for awhile. Hopefully it’s not too obnoxious. I’ll probably be tinkering with it for a little bit. Let me know what you think. Feel free to join the discussion at ChicagoSportsTalk.com

When it Rains, It Pours

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

sox game 004 I went to my first White Sox game of the year. It was this past Saturday and it rained non-stop. Horrible weather but we were watching baseball and that means it’s finally going to get warm. They played Detroit which is always a good game.

The White Sox won 7-0 and then they beat them the following day 11-0! I love it when the Tigers lose. Despite it being rainy and the Hot Dog buns were a little stale. We still had a good time.

White Sox 1993 [PIC]

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

I saw this in a guy’s office, I hope he didn’t mind me snapping a picture. It’s not the greatest quality it was from my camera phone.

It’s the 1993 American League Western Division Champions, I remember watching them play when I was little. I’m trying to remember who are on these baseball cards. So far I got Ozzie Guillen, Frank Thomas, Tim Raines, Carlton Fisk, Bo Jackson, Robin Ventura and Jack McDowell. That’s all I got so far, my Dad might recognize some more. Here’s the complete 1993 Roster

It’s time for the Bears to bench Grossman

Monday, September 24th, 2007

This is a rough article…Chicago Bears Rex Grossman

It pains us to concede this but, alas, it is time for the Bears to seek an alternative to Rex Grossman. And not just for a game or two to allow the maligned Bears quarterback a chance to collect himself. Nope, it’s simply time to initiate the end of a short-lived era. Or, as one clever headline writer for a Chicago newspaper suggested, to “end an error.”

OUCH! I like Rex but…well, it looks like we are going to find out what happens on Wednesday. Read the full article here.
