White Sox Game vs. Tigers

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Terri and I took her nephew’s to the White Sox game. They lost so it was lame, but we did get to see Ken Griffey Jr. I had two tickets on the 1st base line row 19. They were pretty close to Griffey. Since we had the boys and didn’t plan in advance we didn’t have four seats together so when people came we just kept moving up a row. Pretty soon we were in the 12th row or somewhere around there. I got some good pics and then we decided to walk around a bit. My uncle Jerry was there so we talked to him for awhile. Then we went to the top row and sat in the nose bleeds. Well, here are some pictures.

Lollapalooza 2008

Monday, August 11th, 2008

I posted pictures of Lollapalooza on flickr. It was a lot of fun. Some of my Highlights were Nine Inch Nails, Flogging Molly and G. Love. One of the shocking bad performances was Perry Farrel. He started out playing a half hour late and then it went downhill from there.

I also took a little video of the NIN concert and decided to test out the video feature of Flickr.

Here’s the lineup as we saw it:
Friday: The Black Keys, Cat Power, The Raconteurs (partial), CSS (partial) and Radiohead.
Saturday: The Gutter Twins, Perry (partial), DeVonchKa (partial), Brand New, Jamie Lidell, Lupe Fiasco, Toadies, Rage Against the Machine and Wilco.
Sunday: What Made Milwaukee Famouse, The Whigs, Brazilian Girls, John Butler Trio, Chromeo, Black Kids, G. Love & Special Sauce, Flogging Molly, Love and Rockets, The National, and Nine Inch Nails.

We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of bands.

Sushi!

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Terri and I took Tyler for Sushi at Sushi Wabi. tyler sushi 042It was his sixth birthday. We took him for sushi on his 5th birthday too. We asked him where he wanted to go this year and he said the same place.

Here he is with a piece of shrimp. He also had the Tempura Shrimp Maki, Vegetable Maki, and California Roll. We also got the edamame, gotta have your beans!

We finished off with some Mochi, which is rice cakes filled with ice cream. They’re good but not what he expected so we stopped at 31 flavors on the way home.

White Sox 1993 [PIC]

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

I saw this in a guy’s office, I hope he didn’t mind me snapping a picture. It’s not the greatest quality it was from my camera phone.

It’s the 1993 American League Western Division Champions, I remember watching them play when I was little. I’m trying to remember who are on these baseball cards. So far I got Ozzie Guillen, Frank Thomas, Tim Raines, Carlton Fisk, Bo Jackson, Robin Ventura and Jack McDowell. That’s all I got so far, my Dad might recognize some more. Here’s the complete 1993 Roster

Summer trips

Tim and Terri

Terri and I went to Mexico for a week. It was a nice and relaxing time, we stayed at the Grand Palladium White Sand Resort in Rivieria Maya.

We decided to do nothing for the entire trip, all we did was relax. Our biggest decision each day was whether to go to the beach or the pool. Very Nice!

Now we just got back from a weekend in New York. We were in New York City and also in Jersey City. We got to do the tourist thing. I have a great picture of a Ruebin Sandwich we shared at the Carnegie Deli. We were almost able to finish. Anyway just wanted to let you know I posted the pictures of our trips. New York and Mexico.

De-icing Airplanes

airport

I installed a computer the other day at a client and Mike showed me the equipment they use for de-icing airplane wings.

It’s made by Vestageard and it’s called a elephant beta de-icing rig. It’s a badass $800,000 machine. Here I am in the cab.

New Camera – Canon Elph SD600

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

The other day we were out for Jen’s birthday at Irish Times and Tyler took a picture with our camera Canon Elph SD100 and we heard a pop. The flash broke. Here is the last picture before the pop.

I went to the Canon service center to see if I could get it fixed, but after the estimate we decided that it would be better to get a new one for not much more than the repair costs. We got the Canon Elph SD600 which has a bigger screen, 2.5″ vs. 1.5″ and it is a little slimmer and more fancy looking.

We went to Dugan’s last Saturday during the ice storm for a fund raiser for the Chicago Riot Rugby Team. I got to snap a few photos while we were there. Tell me what you think.
