De-icing Airplanes

airport

I installed a computer the other day at a client and Mike showed me the equipment they use for de-icing airplane wings.

It’s made by Vestageard and it’s called a elephant beta de-icing rig. It’s a badass $800,000 machine. Here I am in the cab.

More Baseball

I know this was starting to become a Sox blog so I decided to post some news about the Cubs. Here’s an article about the sale of the Cubs. I hope Carl Spackler would be the one to buy them.

Sandy: Carl I want you to kill all the gophers on the golf course
Carl Spackler: Correct me if I’m wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers they’ll lock me up and throw away the key.
Sandy: Not golfers, you great fool. Gophers. The *little* *brown*, *furry* *rodents*.
Carl Spackler: We can do that. We don’t even need a reason.

Terri, Greg and I are going to the Cubs game this Saturday. It’s supposed to snow, but if I know Greg we will have plenty of beer to warm us up.

Friday off

Saturday, April 7th, 2007

As you probably know the Sox game was canceled yesterday, so we didn’t have to brave the cold. Since we had the night off and it was Good Friday we went with Terri’s family to Illinois Bar & Grill On Taylor. Terri’s father, uncle and aunt have made it a tradition to go there Friday nights during Lent. Since they can’t eat meat they wait till midnight to order. The reason they go to this place is because of their burgers, if you order the “Chicago Burger” you get a beef patty that’s somewhere between 3/4lb. to a full pound! Come hungry, but if you are not you could get the “Baby Burger” which is a mere 1/3lb of meat.

We brought home a winner!

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

We went to the White Sox game today and it was their first win of the season. Mark Buehrle was hit by a line drive in the 2nd inning but he plans to be ready for his next start. It was a pretty cold day today but not to bad in our seats. The sun was out and it was not to windy. Tomorrow’s game is a night game so I am going to bundle up.

White Sox vs. The Cleveland Indians

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

I’m going to the White Sox game tomorrow. This will be the first one of the season for me. I will be going with my Dad, Mom and sister, lets see if we could bring in a winner! They lost the first two games of the season but it’s not a big deal, I think they are going to do alright this year. Their ace, Mark Buehrle will be pitching and I can’t wait to see what happens. We’ll be sitting in left field (sec 159) right by the Sox bullpen. We are in row 22 and my Uncle Russ and Aunt Sue will be in row 4 of the same section! Let’s hope they hit some homeruns over there.

It’s going to be a cold day at The Cell, the weather forcast says it will be in the 30’s which is definaitly not baseball weather. I’m going to dress like it’s a Bears game. I hope a win will warm us up.

For anyone that does not have access to a TV for the game check out foxsports.com for fairly close to realtime updates of the game. I used that website and liked it for fantasy football this past year, and also all my football pools. I liked all the information that they gave during the games. Check it out, it’s pretty cool.

RIAA vs Trent Reznor: Round One

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

RIAA is going after websites that hosted his music, that he left for his fans.

nine inch nails

I’ve been a Nine Inch Nails fan for a long time. I’m excited about his new album. You would think the music industry would be a little more with it, they are spending so much time worrying about pirates, but they should be figuring out better ways to distribute their music.
