Animals Should be Seen and not Heard
My birthday was yesterday and Terri took me to a nice dinner at Red Light and then to see the play Wicked at the Oriental Theater.
The food at Red Light is awesome. It is owned by the same owners as Marche which we went to for Valentine’s Day. I’m not sure which one I liked better, but we had a very good experience at both. Terri had the special which was Mahi in a chardonnay butter sauce and I had the Shrimp 99. Everything was very good. It’s also a great place to go for cocktails and appetizers, they have a fairly large bar area and a fun martini menu.
On to the play…
It was a very good play and had a good twist on the Wizard of Oz. Of course there was it’s share of cheesy jokes and one liners from the movie that made everyone laugh. Wicked is a good back story that fits well with the movie. It’s timeline runs from before Dorthy arrivies at Oz and then continues after she leaves. So if you lived in a cave and haven’t seen the movie a few hundred times I sugest to see it again to freshen up. I caught a few little jokes but i’m sure there were plenty more that relate to the movie that I missed.
As we were leaving I heard a guy say it was the best play he ever seen, he also said, “It was better than Cats.” I have never seen Cats before but I think if it was he should have not announced it to everyone in a 10ft proximity of him, and i think that his son, who was with his girlfriend that he was probably trying to empress didn’t appreciate it. Otherwise we had a fun time. So if you get a chance go see the show, and thank you Terri for the wonderful evening!

I know you didn’t “see” Cats, but you did a great job in that one-man off-broadway version you did. Allthough Hooker #3 in Miss Saigon was arguably yor most memorable performance.

Hurray for Terri “classing” your life up a little. Wicked and Red Light in one night! Wow! Sounds like an erotic evening. Of course you could be talking about a restaurant and a play and not…………..
