Hall of Fame Websites
Monday, February 27th, 2006Over the years working in corporate environments I had a lot of time for websurfing. Now that I don’t work for The Man anymore I tend not to find as many of those waste of time websites. I started thinking of some of them the other day and decided to post the ones I can remember. Let me take you back to the good old days of internet back when frames were popular and netscape was my browser of choice.
The Twinkies Project is a fun website where the “scientist” perfore experiments on twinkies. I find it funny how they into depth with the documentation of these experiments.
Mr. T Vs. Everything I pitty the fool that don’t like this site! Who doesn’t like Mr T? He’s Helluva tough!
The Onion this is where I used to get all my news before blatti.net
slashdot.org News for Nerds, Stuff that Matters. I still have this one set as my default start page.
fark.com This site is a great source of odd news, I almost forgotten about this site but when I started working with Doug, I found out he is a Total Fark member and decided to start checking it again.
GeoCities was where a lot of my friends had their free web hosting. Now it looks like yahoo took it over.
Lycos and Webcrawler were the search engines that I perferred.
I Used to have a dial up account at Interaccess. It was a good ISP because they gave you a shell account, so you were able to use Pine for you’re email.
These are a few that I could remember. I’ll try to add more when I think of them.
